DC fans have been willing to see Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam for a long time. Next year brings Dwayne Johnson’s latest anti-hero to DCEU: Black Adam. This character is related to the comic origin of Zachary Levi in Shazam. However, the two are not yet ready to meet. In a future movie, exactly we will be able to see Black Adam and Shazam in one movie. Until then, as the actor had been trying to do for nearly a decade, Rock himself would take his desire to bring the project to life on stage.
Thanks to the recent success of the more obscure comic characters, now are the best time for his character to make it to the big screen. Movies like Shang-Chi, Eternals, and Shazam had been successful. So the Rock should have no problem introducing Teth-Adam to the world.
The project recently premiered its first footage on the DC FanDome, and it blew fans away. It looks brutal in a unique way and gives a little taste of the Adams’ power.
Dwayne Johnson also starred this year (2021) in Jungle Cruise (directed by Collet-Serra) and Red Notice (directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber). Johnson will make another tour of the DC Universe in 2022. And he will voice Superman’s dog Krypto in the animated DC League of Super-Pets (directed by Jared Stern).

Now, DC fans have now got a new look for Black Adam, from director Jaume Collet-Serra’s upcoming 2022 film. And also, it has just released a few new images from next year’s DCEU movie Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero.

Dwayne Johnson tweeted a new image of the character. In that, the image shows a close-up of a black Adam with a hood (played by Johnson). In that Tweet, Johnson wrote,
“You’re right. Superheroes do not kill bad people, but I do.” – #BlackAdam.
The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is changing.”
In 2014, Johnson was selected for the role. And at the end of filming in July, Johnson posted on Instagram,
“I knew many years ago, the opportunity for me to make BLACK ADAM would be a ONCE IN A CAREER EVENT. It has been my true honor to go shoulder to shoulder with over 1,000 brilliant and hungry crew of filmmakers and storytellers to bring the antihero known as BLACK ADAM to life.”

Black Adam’s future
However, fans would love to see Black Adam and Shazam team up in a future movie. But if that happens, not only will everyone have to wait until after the Black Adam movie, but also after Shazam Fury of the Gods movie too. No project has been set up to showcase both characters at the same time yet. Hopefully, Shazam’s third outing will catch up with Kahndaq’s leader.
Release date
