Netflix has officially confirmed Emily in Paris season 4, which means fans will get to indulge in plenty more scenic views, fashionable looks, and, of course, juicy drama.
The following contains spoilers for Season 3 of Emily in Paris.
Netflix recently released the third season of Emily in Paris. The story revolves around a business-minded girl who is transferred to a marketing firm in Paris despite knowing no French. And three seasons in, she still knows no French. Her time in France is a culture shock as she adapts and finds her way in a new country, but there is plenty of relationship drama to keep her busy. The show has always included some amount of ridiculousness, but Season 3 arguably went too far. Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) has quickly become the company’s most sought-after employee without really trying. While attempting to make her the best, they forget to make her coworkers remotely competent without her. Yet Emily continues to make terrible decisions and faces no consequences. Everything just works out for her, which, frankly, doesn’t make interesting TV. The character and her choice of clothes are hard to take seriously, but the show persists in trying. As the show moves into a fourth season, there are several ways it (and the character) needs to grow, or it will once again seem to move nothing forward.
Is Emily In Paris season 4 confirmed?
Yes!!! The streaming service announced the big news in January 2021, shortly after the premiere of the show’s second season. And now, with the shocking revelations from the season three finale, fans are wondering what will happen to the characters in season four.
Also, Emily In Paris actor Lily Collins confirmed the news herself back in January 2022, posting a photo to Instagram to reveal that not only had the show been renewed for a third season, but for a fourth too. The official Emily In Paris Instagram account has also confirmed the news. Let the countdown begin…
When is Emily in Paris season 4 filming?
Great news! Production on Emily in Paris season 4 could kick off by spring or summer 2023, as hinted at by a tweet from writer Joshua Levy. The writer shared a note from the Netflix team about beginning work on the season 4 writers’ room. That means the writers are hard at work plotting the scripts and filming should begin very soon.
Back in June 2022, filming began on Emily in Paris season 3, and judging by the length of time season 2 had taken to film the previous year, we were anticipating the end of filming by the end of summer. However, the series remained in production.
In September 2022, Variety reported that Emily in Paris season 3 and Emily in Paris season 4 were filmed back-to-back, though that report ultimately wasn’t true. Additional details about the production schedule for the fourth season, such as a timeline, haven’t been released.
As soon as Netflix or the cast announces more details on season 4’s filming schedule and status, we’ll be sure to let fans know!
Who will star in season 4 of Emily In Paris?
We’ve grown rather fond of the Emily In Paris gang, so it’s causing us a fair amount of stress that Netflix has not yet confirmed the cast list for season four. However, given it was filmed concurrently with season three, it’s pretty safe to presume that the majority of our best-loved characters will feature. It wouldn’t exactly be Emily In Paris without Emily (Lily Collins), now, would it? Or her trusty sidekick Mindy (Ashley Park), either, for that matter.

Season three’s shock cliffhanger finale implies Camille and Gabriel are also set to return, alongside series regulars Sylvie, Julien, and Luc. The only character whose fate really hangs in balance, however, is Alfie – Emily’s short-lived British boyfriend who is played by Lucien Laviscount. The couple was together for the majority of season three until he walked out in the final episode following Camille’s revelation that Gabriel and Emily have been in love the whole time.

What could happen in Emily in Paris season 4?
At the end of season three, Gabriel and Camille’s wedding came to a screeching halt—thanks to Cami’s candid (but honest) remark. Rather than pretending that everything was fine, the bride announced to the congregation that Gabriel was in love with her best friend, Emily. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Alfie encouraged Emily to commit to him. Then came the shocking twist: Cami is pregnant.
After that major cliffhanger, season four will pick up right where season three left off. Show creator Darren Star told TV Guide, “Season 4 is going to be more about navigating complicated relationships; personal relationships and work relationships, and how they come into conflict with each other…Emily is still going to be working with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille. Those work relationships are really fraught with emotional conflicts.”
Emily in Paris season 4 release date

In a nutshell: we’re not quite sure yet. Neither Netflix nor any of the show’s characters or creators have confirmed a release date – but, if previous seasons are anything to go by, we’d hazard a guess that December 2023 is most likely (the past two seasons dropped just before Christmas).
However, this could all change for season four – particularly since we know that the episodes have already been filmed. So that means it’s really all down to Netflix as to when to release this next season. All our fingers and toes are crossed!
