Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of Pirates of the Caribbean, has announced that Margot Robbie will be taking over the lead role in the popular Disney franchise. This means that Margot Robbie will be replacing Johnny Depp for the next chapter of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Although there is an existing script that includes Johnny Depp’s character, Captain Jack Sparrow, it seems that Disney has decided to take a different approach for Pirates of the Caribbean 6. This decision will enable Margot Robbie to assume the role of the main protagonist in the upcoming film installment.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie has been busy filming another major blockbuster for the past few months.
After completing production on the film Barbie, Margot Robbie is said to be focusing on preparing for her role in Pirates of the Caribbean. While the exact start date for filming the next installment of the franchise has not been confirmed yet, casting is still in progress, and final adjustments are being made to the script. It wouldn’t be surprising if production kicks off early next year, as Disney is eager to continue the success of this beloved franchise.
Personally I would watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie just to see what they have done with it , but to be brutally honest without Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow I really can’t see how it could work and I think the franchise should bow out gracefully
