Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has attracted the attention of fans all over the world. Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular hero will travel across the Multiverse to prevent an unknown enemy from destroying everything in the universe. Along the way, not only will he be meeting some of his Variants, but he’ll also run into newcomer America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez, a Multiversal hero who will play an important role in the plot.
A new pre-promotional video for the project was recently released, which gave the audience a lot to get excited about. From Professor X’s potential return to the new Ultron Bots and the bloodied-up Scarlet Witch, there is much to keep that prospect at a breaking point. However, if you have not yet watched the new trailer, you can watch it below.
Speaking of Elizabeth Olsen’s MCU hero, the effects of her actions in WandaVision will be felt in full force in this movie. Indeed, rumors suggest that she may be the most serious threat that Strange will face.
Aside from rumors and heresies, fans still have no idea what Multiverse of Madness will be about after two teasers. That information may have finally been leaked, due to some fresh reports.
Doctor Strange 2 Key Plot Details Revealed

After elaborating on the essence of the official poster, you can see what looks like a book sitting on a fancy stand on a table. Many have assumed this book is the Darkhold, but it’s not, because the Darkhold itself appears on the poster on the far left under Defender Strange.

Well, if it’s not the Darkhold, then what is it? This book is, in fact, the Book of the Vishanti, as we can confirm. Since seeing the Darkhold for the first time at WandaVision in 2021, a lot of fans have believed that the book’s counterpart, the Book of the Vishanti, would indeed appear in the MCU. While it has been believed that the book would appear in the Multiverse of Madness, the poster indicates that the book will be featured in the Doctor Strange sequel.
For those who are unfamiliar with the book or its powers, the Book of the Vishanti is the opposite of the Darkhold. The Darkhold contains dark magic and corrupts the user who uses it, just as Wanda Maximoff will be corrupted by the book after nearly two years of use. The Book of the Vishanti, on the other hand, is a sign of light and pure magic, including spells to combat the effects of dark magic, most often the Darkhold. Of course, the biggest problem now is determining the exact location of the book in the MCU. We can also comment on that.

In both trailers for the upcoming sequel, in this dimension pictured above is where the Book of the Vishanti is kept. If we describe Furthermore, you can see, a location is shown in the scene where Doctor Strange, America Chavez, and Christine Palmer are seen in a doorway, floating above an ornate structure with a blinding light emitting from a podium.

MCU Stephen Strange is unaware of the location of this book, but his variation is. Defender Strange appears in the TV Spot and trailers for brief seconds, but notice how he and America Chavez are fighting a monster in the same room during these spots. Defender Strange and America Chavez, it is our belief, are from the same universe and are aware of the threat that lurks in this film. This leads them to this pocket realm (which we presume is Chavez’s home dimension), where they will attempt to stop the menace using the Book of the Vishanti.
As audiences saw in the trailer, things didn’t go well, Defender Strange notices how the danger is too great for either one of them to stop. We’ve heard that he manages to save Chavez by casting her out of the pocket dimension into another universe via her portals before this Strange variant meets his demise and falls through her still open portals as well. America can’t control where she’s going at this point and ends up with our MCU Strange. This then leads into the rest of the film’s plot.
It is to our understanding that the film will take Doctor Strange, America Chavez, and Wong on a journey across the Multiverse searching for the Book of the Vishanti to stop the Darkhold’s corruption of the Scarlet Witch before she destroys the Multiverse.

Of course, multiple mishaps and hijinks will come along the way to slow them down, but the ultimate end goal will remain the same. By the time the film reaches its climactic showdown, it will not only be a battle between Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch but the Book of the Vishanti going up against the Darkhold for the sake of the Multiverse.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is coming to the theaters on May 6, 2022.
