We’re the Millers has an immense fan following. The comedy movie was released in 2013 with a strong star cast. It was a huge box office success and received 7 out of 10 stars on IMDb. The script was written by Steve Faber. It grossed more than $270 million in its theatrical release with merely an overall budget of about $37 million.
Shortly after the film’s success at the box office, New Line immediately engaged a screenwriter to begin work on the script for the sequel, dubbed ‘We’re Still the Millers.’ Even though the initiative seemed to be pretty serious, it gradually waned in importance over many years. So, will we receive a second part, or will we not? You never know what will happen! After all, the sequel is being considered, and that is true!

A scared David now has to recover that as well as collect a fresh consignment from Mexico, what does he do now? He needs a fake family to look real and genuine and that is when he hires a stripper as his wife, the neighborhood’s innocent boy as his son, and a petty thief as his daughter to get that consignment safe.
Watch to find out how they face problems, make friends, get betrayed, and eventually get caught as well. The comedy and drama are so well portrayed using dialogues and cinematography, it makes this movie a must-watch.

It didn’t take long for New Line to hire a screenplay to start work on the sequel, which will be called “We’re Still the Millers.” David Fincher was the author of the screenplay. Even though the project seemed to be very serious, its significance steadily decreased over several years. So, the question is, are we going to get a second part, or are we not going to? You never know what may take place! After all, plans for the follow-up movie are now being formulated, and that much is true!
We’re The Millers Part 2 Expected Plot
Part 2 might see David landing himself in problems where there are even speculations of him being dead. Now, what would the fake family do? Has the bond finally flourished? Will the kingpin now be behind their life too? What is the escape plan now? Or is David faking it all to save everyone? Or there are more twists coming Miller’s way? However, these are all speculations and we need to wait for an official plot synopsis from the makers.

We do not have any confirmation on the addition or removal from the Part 1, cast, so it seems like the core cast remains the same for We’re The Millers Part 2 for the time being.

We’re The Millers’ Ending Hints Sequel
Like many of the fans, there has been collective speculation about a sequel that directly gets its essence from the ending of the first comedy feature.
At the end of We’re The Millers, it’s revealed David has colluded with the DEA to use him as an informant and turn in his boss who he was smuggling marijuana.
To get David to testify against Gurdlinger and Chacón, he is placed in witness protection. As Rose, Kenny and Casey were all witnesses too, they also had to join him.
Well, the ending of ‘We’re The Millers’ left many questions unanswered and hinted that there could be a sequel. Perhaps it would be interesting if it followed their attempts at blending into suburbia or exploring their enemies coming for revenge.
When Will the Sequel be Released?
After a long break, the makers announced the sequel of We’re the Millers in 2021. The news of the confirmation from the makers spread like wildfire, and it was expected to release in 2022. However, there is still no word from the makers or actors regarding when it will air on the screens.
Now as of 2023, the film still has no release date. At least we can hope that the film will be released in 2024.
