There is hardly anyone who does not know the name of The Witcher. Many people have seen at least one of from the novel series, computer game or TV show regarding the Witcher. The Witcher is a series of fantasy novels written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Based on this Witcher novel series, first of all computer game was created and it became famous all over the world. Then in 2019 Netflix started creating a TV show based on this fantasy. Accordingly, Witcher Season 1 was released in 2019 and Season 2 will be released on December 3 this year. Netflix have also confirmed that season three has already begun production.
The cast of ‘The Witcher’ Season 2
The essence of the play remains the same, with Henry Cavill retaining the lead role as Geralt in Rivia, while Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya as Ciri, the lion cub of Cintra.
Other big names include Tom Canton as Flavondoral and Lars Mickelson as Strogorbor. In addition, Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Adjoa Andoh as Nenneke, Liz Carr as Fenn, Simon Callow as Codringher, Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, Kevin Doyle as Ba’Lian and Chris Fulton as Rience, will cast in season 2
What will happens in The Witcher Season 2 ?
01. Beginning of Season 2
Witcher Season 2 is based on the novel Blood of Evil. There are two years between the collapse of the Cintra Kingdom and the start of Season 2. During this time the northern kingdoms won a war against Nilfgaard, and unrest ruled the day of peace.
Season 2 may start from this point of view, with two years gap between the first and second seasons.
2.The hunt for Yennefer
Clearly, Yennifer’s well-being will be paramount when the show returns. Apparently, she used all her chaos to stop the Nilfgaard army.
In the trailer of the Witcher, we saw that Yennefer and Fringilla have been taken prisoner by a group of people. Exactly can say that is not Nilfgaard army. Then who is that? we have to wait until its premiere.
But since she has disappeared from the battlefield, several interested parties are looking for her. Fans will want to see her team up with Geralt and Ciri.
We can assume that Yennefer joins Geralt and Ciri at the end of the second series. Hopefully, Yennefer will have an interesting story in the second season.
3. Ciri’s Training
In The Witcher season 2 trailer, we saw Geralt take Ciri to Kaer Morhen. And we could see how she trained in swords. So we can assume that Ciri gets combat training at Kaer Morhen as well as some magic training by several older Witchers, including Vesemir. But it is unlikely that all of this can be seen in as much detail as in the novel. Accordingly, we can assume that Ciri’s training may be briefly shown in a flashback scene.
4. The wild hunt?
Ciri confronts the wild hunters in the second novel. According to the Witcher trailer, we can expect Geralt and Ciri being attacked by wild hunters in the forest.
5. The prophecy
Fantasy worlds love their predictions and Ciri related prophecy is very interesting. This is the reason why Emhyr var Emreis, the emperor of Nilfgaard, wants to capture her severely. We are not talking about that prophecy here. But we hope it will tell you what this prophecy is during the second season.
