Live Action VR Series The Faceless Series Debuts in ‘Horizon Worlds’ Next Month

The Faceless lady – Live-action VR videos are quite common, but they’re often short and focus on sports or similar topics. However, something new is on the horizon for Meta Horizon Worlds on Quest: a VR horror series called The Faceless Lady. This series will feature six episodes, each lasting half an hour, and will be presented in stereoscopic 3D.

In collaboration with Meta, Crypt TV, ShinAwiL, and Eli Roth have teamed up to create The Faceless Lady. This VR horror series draws inspiration from the seventeenth-century Irish folklore surrounding Lady Margaret Hodnett. Legend has it that Lady Margaret haunts Belvelly Castle in Cork, Ireland, where she is said to lurk within mirrors and other reflective surfaces, frightening visitors with her presence.

The creators have reimagined this ancient legend for modern times, adding a supernatural element. The story follows three couples who receive invitations to a medieval castle in Ireland for a weekend competition. They must navigate Lady Margaret Hodnett’s chilling games, where the stakes are high: win and survive, or lose and face dire consequences. You can watch the trailer below to get a glimpse of the terror that awaits.

The horror series will debut in VR with the first two episodes premiering on Thursday, April 4th at 5:00 PM PT in Meta Horizon Worlds. If you’re interested in attending, you can RSVP and sign up for notifications to know when it goes live. Don’t miss out on the spine-tingling experience!

Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to watch the series on demand in VR through Meta Quest TV. If VR isn’t your thing, you can still catch it on flatscreen via Crypt TV’s Facebook page when the episodes premiere in VR. So, whether you prefer virtual reality or traditional viewing, you won’t have to miss out on the terrifying tale of The Faceless Lady.

In addition to Tara Lee from “The Fall” and Staz Nair from “Rebel Moon,” The Faceless Lady features a talented cast including Daisy Jelley from “How To Date Billy Walsh,” Mei Henri from “Hijack,” Ugo Onwughalu, Sophie Rebecca-Jones, and Ned Dennehy from “Peaky Blinders.” With such a diverse and skilled ensemble, viewers can anticipate captivating performances that bring the chilling story to life.

Crypt TV and Meta are working together to create The Faceless Lady in VR. The team includes executive producers Jack Davis and Darren Brandl from Crypt TV, Eli Roth, and Larry Bass and Aaron Farrel from ShinAwiL. Light Sail VR is handling the VR production, with Robert Watts and Matt Celia as co-executive producers. This collaboration aims to bring an immersive storytelling experience to audiences in virtual reality.

Crypt TV, in partnership with Meta, is recognized for their VR special “TRICK-VR-TREAT,” directed and written by Eli Roth. This production received a Webby Award for Best Narrative Experience in the ‘Metaverse, Immersive & Virtual’ category.
