Lance Reddick died: Lance Reddick, a well-known actor recognized for his performances in “The Wire” and the John Wick franchise, reportedly passed away at the age of 60. His representative has confirmed that he died naturally at his residence in Los Angeles. Recently, Reddick had been conducting interviews for his upcoming role in John Wick: Chapter 4, set to be released next week. However, he chose not to attend the film’s New York premiere earlier this week.
Reddick gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Baltimore police lieutenant Cedric Daniels in HBO’s acclaimed crime drama series, “The Wire.” Interestingly, he initially auditioned for the roles of Bubbles and Bunk Moreland before landing the role of Daniels. Simon expressed his devastation over Reddick’s untimely passing, stating that it was profoundly difficult for those who knew and loved him to come to terms with the loss.
Wendell Pierce, Reddick’s fellow co-star on the show, took to Twitter to pay tribute to him. Pierce described Reddick as a man of immense strength and grace, highlighting his talents not only as an actor but also as a musician. Pierce expressed his profound grief on behalf of their artistic family, acknowledging the sudden and painful loss they were experiencing. James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, took to Twitter to express his grief over the loss of Lance Reddick.
