20th Century Studios has shared a new trailer and three character posters for ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,’ giving us a closer look at the upcoming film.
‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ will hit theaters on May 10, 2024.
Director Wes Ball brings fresh energy to the expansive franchise, set many years after Caesar’s rule. In this future world, apes rule while humans live in hiding. When a new oppressive ape leader rises, a young ape embarks on a challenging journey that challenges his beliefs and shapes the fate of both apes and humans.
“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” directed by Wes Ball of the “Maze Runner” trilogy, features a cast including Owen Teague from “IT,” Freya Allan from “The Witcher,” Kevin Durand from “Locke & Key,” Peter Macon from “Shameless,” and William H. Macy from “Fargo.” The screenplay is penned by Josh Friedman of “War of the Worlds,” along with Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver of “Avatar: The Way of Water,” and Patrick Aison of “Prey,” based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver. The film is produced by Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. of “The Maze Runner,” Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Jason Reed of “Mulan,” with Peter Chernin of the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy and Jenno Topping of “Ford v. Ferrari” serving as executive producers.
