Fast 11: Release Date, Cast, and Everything We Know

Fast & Furious 11 has a confirmed release date

The Fast & Furious series started more than 20 years ago, and now, with its tenth movie (not counting spinoffs), Fast X, the thrilling journey is finally starting to end. Fast and Furious movies’ grand final has kicked off with the release of Fast X. But Dominic Toretto and the family still have a lot more to go through before their story comes to an end.

Who will be in the cast?

While Universal hasn’t officially announced the cast for Fast X Part 2, it’s highly likely that Vin Diesel will return as the series’ main character, Dom Toretto. Those who survive Fast X from Dom’s family are anticipated to be back in Fast 11, including Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, Sung Kang as Han Lue, and Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey.

Jason Statham is set to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw, and it seems he’ll be attempting to rescue his mother Queenie (played by Helen Mirren) from Dante’s henchmen. There’s also a possibility of a reunion with Hobbs, following Dwayne Johnson’s unexpected return in the credit scene.

In Fast X, a significant loss was John Cena’s character, Jakob Toretto, who sacrifices himself to assist Dom in saving his son. Jakob’s car exploded with him inside, but since we didn’t actually see a body, in this series, you can never be certain about what might happen next.

Speaking of the Toretto family, Jordana Brewster’s character, Mia, will be making a return, and it’s hoped that she’ll have a more significant role this time. Additionally, there’s a possibility of Daniela Melchior reprising her role as Isabel, who is revealed to be Elena’s sister, making her the aunt of Dom’s son.

If Fast & Furious 11 marks the conclusion of the Fast Saga, it’s probable that Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, will have a presence in the film, though the specifics of how or if they’ll bring back Brian remains unclear.

In Fast X, Walker’s daughter Meadow makes a cameo as a flight attendant assisting Jakob and Brian in escaping the Agency. This suggests that she might return, possibly with an expanded role in the Toretto family storyline.

What will Fast X: Part 2 be about?

Although the details of the Fast 11 storyline are currently being kept secret, hints about the plot have been dropped by the cast and crew. Serving as the continuation of the broader Fast X narrative, Fast X Part 2 will pick up from the suspenseful conclusion of Fast X. Fast 11 will also serve as a heartfelt farewell to Brian O’Conner, the co-lead of the franchise portrayed by the late Paul Walker. Vin Diesel emphasized the importance of concluding Brian’s story as an integral part of bringing the Fast & Furious series to a genuine close, stating, “I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without truly saying goodbye to Brian.”

The Fast X cliffhanger hinted at Hobbs making a comeback to the franchise. Although Dwayne Johnson hinted at a spinoff movie for Hobbs, it appears he will also return for the sequel, especially now that he and Vin Diesel have patched up their relationship. Hobbs might play a crucial role in saving the day once more.

Will Fast 11 Be The Last Fast & Furious Movie?

Even though Fast X Part 2 is considered the conclusion of the Fast X finale, it won’t be the final Fast & Furious movie. Originally planned as the last chapter of the mainline saga, Vin Diesel has hinted that Fast & Furious 12 will bring the saga to a close. Given the franchise’s success, it’s improbable that Universal will let the lucrative Fast & Furious brand come to an end. There might be more Fast & Furious spin-offs, such as Hobbs & Shaw 2, even after the Toretto family storyline concludes with Fast 11 and Fast 12.
