Chris Hemsworth Returns as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2: Watch the First Promo Video!
Chris Hemsworth is set to star in Extraction 2, as shown in a new teaser. The film’s first look was revealed during Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event. Hemsworth will return as Tyler Rake, a former SASR operator turned black-ops mercenary. The teaser also gives us a glimpse of Golshifteh Farahani, who plays his partner, Nik Khan. The first film, released in 2020, was a success.
In the video, director Sam Hargrave emphasizes the need to bring even more action in Extraction 2. Chris Hemsworth is shown performing incredible stunts involving helicopters and trains. Hargrave mentions that everything that led to this point doesn’t matter unless they can surpass it in scale and quality. A scene is revealed where a helicopter lands on the top of a moving train, indicating a more intricate and extreme sequence compared to the first film. Amidst the chaotic action, Chris expresses his excitement, and the audience is promised a mind-blowing outcome.
Netflix posted a short preview on social media with the message, “We’re putting helicopters on trains in motion. Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave are back for Extraction 2, featuring incredible action scenes that are just as impressive behind the scenes as they are on camera.”
Extraction 2 features Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili alongside the main star. The movie’s description says, “Following his near-death experience in the previous film, Rake returns as the Australian black ops mercenary, assigned to a new dangerous mission: saving the traumatized family of a brutal Georgian gang leader from captivity in a prison.”
