‘See’ Season 3 Release Date and Episodes

Apple TV Plus has confirmed that See will premiere globally on Friday, August 26, 2022. The announcement of the third season renewal was made in June 2021, even before the premiere of season 2, indicating early anticipation for the show’s continuation.

The third and final season will consist of eight episodes in total. The first episode is scheduled to debut on August 26, followed by weekly releases of new episodes every Friday. Fans can look forward to experiencing the concluding chapter of the series on a weekly basis.

Background of the Series

Before delving into Season 3 of See, let’s recap the premise of the series. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a devastating virus outbreak in the 21st century wiped out a significant portion of humanity. In the generations that follow, the survivors discover that their descendants are born without the ability to see, and this blindness affects millions of people worldwide.

The series is set in a distant future, several centuries after the initial virus outbreak. In this world, a new culture has emerged where people have adapted to living and interacting without the use of their sense of sight. The concept of vision or seeing is considered to be a fictional story or myth for the inhabitants of this society.

Maghra, a pregnant woman, seeks refuge with the Alkenny tribe who reside in the mountains. Baba Voss, the leader of the tribe, is unable to have children of his own. He marries Maghra and becomes the father to her children. It is revealed that Jerlamarel, the biological father of Maghra’s children, possesses the rare ability to see, which sets him apart in a world where the majority of people are blind.

Maghra’s sister, the Payan Queen, becomes aware of Jerlamarel and his children, including the unborn child Maghra is carrying. The Payan Queen is interested in them because Jerlamarel’s children have inherited the rare trait of vision, which was previously dormant and recessive in their lineage. She seeks to find and possibly control these children because their ability to see is seen as significant and valuable in their world.

Baba Voss has to protect his family and tribe from the danger brought by the Queen. This is where the exciting action begins!

‘See’ Season 3 Plot

See takes place in a harsh and primitive future where people have lost the ability to see. In season three, Baba Voss, the main character, is living in seclusion after defeating his enemy and leaving his family behind. However, he is compelled to return to his tribe when a scientist invents dangerous weapons that can see. This puts the future of humanity at risk, and Baba Voss must step up to protect his people.
